Accessibility in Messukeskus
For us at Ropecon it is important that the convention is accessible and enjoyable for everyone interested in role-playing games. The venue at Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Center provides easy accessibility and suitable facilities for attendees with limited mobility or disabilities.
Both Southern and Northern Entrance feature automated doors for easier access. An elevator can be used to access program on all three floors of the Conference Center Siipi.
There are multiple accessible toilets within the convention area. All restaurants and cafes within the venue that are open during the convention are wheelchair accessible.
Assistive listening devices are available upon request at the information desk – please notify our staff at the information desk at least an hour before the program begins so we can make the necessary arrangements. For a closer look at the venue and its facilities, you can take a virtual tour of Messukeskus before arriving.
Accompanying caretakers and assistants can enter the convention area free of charge. Although bringing pets into the convention area is prohibited, guide dogs and assistant dogs who are on duty are more than welcome at Ropecon.
Accessible parking
Any parking space can be used free of charge when using a valid disabled parking permit. There are 20 marked accessible parking spaces available on the first level (P1) of the Messukeskus Car Park and near the Northern Entrance. No parking fees will be collected as long as you declare your vehicle registration number to the Info Desk before exiting the parking area.
Although there are some accessible parking spaces within the Conference Centre parking area as well, we recommend using other options as there is elevation and a pretty steep hill on route to the Southern Entrance.
