Experience Point
At the Experience Point our visitors can try out new games with the help of a volunteer guide. We are seeking volunteer guides for more established games (such as Settlers of Catan, Magic: the Gathering, Warhammer, Go) as well as for some newer or lesser known games.
As a demonstration guide, you get to introduce and play your favourite games with new players. We also welcome game designers to introduce their new games – both finished versions as well as those that are still in development – to the audience. Board games, strategy games, card games, miniature wargames, tabletop role-playing games alike are all welcome at the Experience Point. Duration of each game demonstration must be short, preferably less than one hour. A helper earns a weekend ticket with eight hours of games and a day ticket with four hours.
Please note that the Experience Point is only meant for demonstrating games, not selling them. For those wishing to also sell their games or other products at the convention, please contact our Vendor Hall coordinator for booth reservations and further information.

Live-action role-playing games (larps)
Join the ranks of our larp GMs to provide an unforgettable larp experience for attendees of Ropecon! Larps can be written specifically for Ropecon or utilise an already existing game and adjusted to be run in a convention setting. All larps should preferably include enough in-game content for 6 to 10 players, and all characters should be available for any player regardless of their personal attributes (gender, age, skills or experience). Larger scale larps are also accepted provided that all characters offer a meaningful experience for their players. To run your game you will receive either a one-day ticket or a weekend ticket to Ropecon depending on the length of your game and/or the number of games run. As a rule of thumb, a larp GM who runs a game of their own writing for 3 to 4 hours during the convention weekend receives a free weekend ticket to Ropecon.
Don’t have a larp to run? No worries! Introducing pre-written scenarios to Finnish larpers is also an option and we would gladly see more of them. Use the same sign-up form as for other larps to sign one up. For pre-written scenarios and games using existing materials, running the larp for 3 to 4 hours twice during the convention will yield a free weekend ticket for the larp GM.

Games, Experience Point and Tournaments
We are seeking GMs, judges and other volunteers to organize tournaments and other game related programme at Ropecon. Game programme includes all kinds of miniature wargames, card games, board games, game demonstrations, presentations and tournaments held for attendees.
Miniature wargames, card games and board games held at Ropecon offer attendees an opportunity to engage in a full-length play session in experienced company. Games and tournaments can be beginner-friendly or aimed at more experienced players.
At the Experience Point, attendees can try out new games with the assistance of a demonstration guide. As a demonstration guide, you can run your own game or introduce games from other publishers to a new audience. Game demonstrations and sample games should be relatively short (around 1 hour) to ensure that as many attendees as possible have an opportunity to try out new games.
For some attendees of Ropecon game tournaments are the main attraction. Tournaments offer them a chance to test their skills against other players and, if victorious, to take home small prices provided by Ropecon. We are seeking organisers for various miniature wargame, card game and board game tournaments.
Volunteers organising tournaments or other game programme receive either a free one-day ticket (for 3 to 4 hours of programme held) or a weekend ticket (for 6 to 8 hours of programme).
